Aug 11, 2009 · That is probably an RFID chip – which is not GPS a tracking chip. RFID is simply a digital ID tag that is implanted in the dog. It will identify the dog to the authorities and have info on it like the dogs name and the name of the owner, but it will not allow you to track the movement of your dog. I hope you find him.
